PurseForum Roundup - October 24
Friday is finally here, Roundup readers! October is winding down, but we're are ramping up because we love fall. This week we pay a visit to Hermès, Balenciaga and the Playground. We also found a wonderful reveal in Valentino that you will not want to miss. Make the jump to find out what else awaits. 1 / 6This week we start in Hermès, where scarves were on our mind. The Clubhouse has threads for a wide variety of Hermès offerings. We stopped in the Mousseline thread, where the lighter-than-air chiffons are always popular. This week, we found mousdiofe's posting of her very first mousseline, and she styled it beautifully. Chiffon scarve and shawls are a great transitional autumn accessory, but we also love the large cashmere shawls, which have a special thread all their own.Of course we love Hermès' sumptuous bags as much as their silks, and the Perfect Match thread is the best place to find bags paired with scarves of every shape, size and color. There, our members share their meticulous matchups, like this beautiful Birkin and scarf ensemble from lilgraycat. 2 / 6We missed this gorgeous Fendi Petite 2Jours last month, but isn't she a beauty? This is icechampagne's very first Fendi, and what a perfect choice. Also, the much-anticipated Petite 3Jours has hit stores and the forum alike, and ChelleL75 snapped one up this month and shared her thoughts along with a modeling photo. The By the Way Bag is another new offering UGG Classic Mini from Fendi, and we started talking about it in June. This week, LVuittonLuvr revealed her new arrival, and it's absolutely lovely. Be sure to also visit the Bag Bugs thread for all things bag charms, too.3 / 6In one of our favorite threads, I Ate This, we found lots of great ideas for fall suppers, including this delicious and colorful sweet potato noodle dish called japchae from puticat. We found plenty of inspiration (as we always do), whether in simple home-cooked meals, quick take-out or more spectacular fare. The Kitchen, home of the I Ate This thread, is part of the Playground, where non-fashion conversations cover topics include finance, travel, current events and everything in between. In our Up To The Minute subforum, we are discussing the current Ebola outbreak, as well as the kerfuffle at Toys R Us and other happenings in the news. Be sure to visit the Television and Cinema subforum to catch up on the new fall shows and movies, too.4 / 6Here's a spectacular new Balenciaga City bag to go with anything fall has in store for you. This is amstevens714's newest addition, and it is brilliant. The color is called manque, and we are sure it will get plenty of use in the coming weeks. We also found a new first Balenciaga revealed by Hersehey's Kisses, this time in rose thulian, another of Balenciaga's special colors with rich, complex undertones. Rounding out the trifecta of first Bals, we have this classic black First from PrincessBoaa, one of our favorite styles from this design house.5 / 6This week we had a chance to admire another of Valentino's shoe designs in this multi-item reveal from mga13, who really knows how to show off her shoes! This thread is a must see--there are more shoes and bags, and all are magnificent.Advertisement6 / 6Seedlessplum gave us a little treat in Saint Laurent this week when she shared her Monogramme Satchel in the Post Your Saint Laurent Bag thread. We love these showcase threads, where we get to see our members' collections up close and personal. Arty fans, be sure to check into the Arty thread; there's plenty of intel on where to find these still-popular pieces, and our members are experts in the art of the Arty!Thank you for joining us this week! We hope you have enjoyed this quick whistle-stop tour of this week's happenings on the PurseForum. We are here every Friday to share some of our favorite conversations, and look forward to seeing you right here next week. Have a great weekend!P.S.
